So, after about an hour Sophie just had to get out of the baby carrier and "hike" around a little bit on her own. She cried when we put her back in to it.

This was the area that I felt a little bit unsafe with the baby; rocky and slippery.

Right next to 昇仙峡 we had a wonderful and peaceful view.

装備

個人装備	I was carrying my 1.5 year old daughter on my back for her hiking debut! My wife was carrying all of the food and supplied in her hiking backpack.

It was a great day for a hike! Because the hike is pretty easy and safe, we decided to bring our baby with us for her first hike. She loved looking at all of the flowers and other nature. During the whole first 2 hours of the hike she was saying, "Oooohhhh!" and "Ahhhhhh!" It was very cute.

My wife and I had never climbed this short mountain before so but our two friends that came with us said it would be a good hike to carry a baby on. It was a pretty safe hike but I was surprised at some of the rocky areas. It was a little bit dangerous for the baby but my daughter and I didn't get hurt.

This hike is a PERFECT hike for the offseason because it rarely gets any snow and is steep enough to get a good workout. On top of that, the lookouts provide a great view of the Kofu basin, the south alps, and the Yatsugatake mountain range. We could even see Mt. Fuji in the background!

I highly recommend this hike if you life in the Yamanashi area and want a simple morning hike.
