This rope leading up to the 本堂 was amazing to see.
This temple is very hightech! They live stream all the time.

there are two routes to get between here and #23. I took the inner route as it seemed to be shorter and has less inclines.

Lots of tunnel walking on this trip but they had pedestrian sidewalks.

I was really hurting about here and unsure if I could make it. This sign gave me some motivation.

So nearing the next temple and I see this insane boat shaped restaurant. I was really hoofin it to get to the temple in time.

Amazing view from up top. Well worth those stairs.
The 納経所 is at the base of the hill so you can get signed up first then go and 参拝. In particular, when you get there at 16:50 like I did!

Thank goodness there was a 日帰り温泉 next to the temple. It was a smaller place with only a few indoor baths, but it was perfect after that walk.
