福ちゃん荘. They were just opening for business when we walked past. A very nice shop, probably due to this mountain being a very easy 日本百名山.

Just beyond the 福ちゃん荘 shop you can find this map. We climbed the steeper section by taking the path to the right of this sign.

We almost missed this large and beautiful toad because it looked like bark from a tree!

We made it already! That was fast!!! It was a little bit slippery in places but we never fell down on the climb up.

The 雷岩 is one of the best spots on the mountain. It was a shame it was very cloudy.

Just a few minutes later the clouds parted for a few minutes a we got a small view of the Kofu basin.

Happy to have a small and short-lived view!
The ridge line can be seen a little bit. On a clear day you can see Mt. Fuji.

This trail would be perfect for trail running. I need to come back again in the fall and try it.

Shops!? A the top of the mountain!? I was pretty surprised to see such large businesses for a fairly low mountain.

After 20 minutes of mostly climbing, we made it 石丸峠 and took the trail heading back to the starting point.

At 小屋平バス停(石丸峠入口). We stopped here and talked with a group that came from Tokyo by bus to climb the mountain.
