Great signage to explain how to get through the neighborhood to the trailhead. But to get to that sign you need to walk up the hill on the road just after the Lawson.

Here's the trailhead. Not much signage from here, but the trail is well marked and there are not many spurs to confuse you.

Misaki Koen is totally gone. No sign of the pools, Ferris wheel, etc. You can only see a few buildings and the huge parking lot.

Here's where you can cut out and back on the right to get to Ōmagari-yama 大曲山. Not really worth it but enjoyable.

Up here in the Diamond Trail area this is the ideal condition. I love walking through sections like this.

At the top of Ōfuku-yama 大福山 there is a great resting area (most of the peaks in this area have some good amenities, actually) but you get super view of both Wakayama and the Misakikoen area.

At the top of Ōfuku-yama 大福山 there is a great resting area (most of the peaks in this area have some good amenities, actually) but you get super view of both Wakayama and the Misakikoen area.

A few minutes down the trail from the top of Manaitaishi-yama 俎石山 is the viewpoint that looks towards KIX. If you are heading towards Hakotsukuri station you can head down the steps from here to rejoin the trail.
